This website is an introduction to my creative work. It contains short fiction, essays, poems, song lyrics, excerpts from some novels, and digital images of Plastiglas (R): stained glass art created with my original process.
Recently, I was feeling good about the future, only to realize that this is a ridiculous emotion to have. Feeling good about the future makes as much sense as feeling good about Neptune or the metric system. How can we evaluate or attach specific emotions to the future? It simply is time we have not experienced.
Then I corrected myself again. Since the future is a mental construct, it is appropriate to relate it to other mental constructs, such as happiness and pleasure. Whereas it is not plausible to feel good about the future, per se, since it does not yet exist, I can have happy fantasies about it. And since they are fantasies, I should probably keep them to myself.
